IT Spending In Malaysia Expected To Hit RM24.6billion By End of 2012
IT spending in Malaysia is expected to hit US$8.2 billion (RM24.6 billion) by end of 2012 with this year being heralded a "year of opportunity" with great impact for the ICT market in the country.
According to International Data Corp (IDC), it predicts that 10 key information and communication technology (ICT) trends will have the biggest commercial impact in Malaysia.
IDC Asia-Pacific senior research manager Sundev Bangah said: "Malaysia's economic growth is expected to remain cautiously optimistic, with IT spending forecasted to reach US$8.2 billion at the end of 2012, representing a year-onyear growth of 10.1%."
"2012 has been heralded as a year of opportunity as well as uncertainty, causing many
businesses to remain vigilant about the ever evolving landscape" he said.
Bangah also added that domestic consumption is expected to grow and foreign investments are poised to continue, this could change in a blink if right chest pieces are not reserved for future movements.
